I didn't have inches to lose. I've fought neck pain for two days. I went for massage yesterday. That helped. Today, as I did on Monday, I went to aqua Pilates. That helps so much. It helps me put space in those tight places in my neck and keeps my hip moving. I also am doing restorative yoga. This really helps to with the re-alignment. I'm slumping. I try to correct that but then fall into the bad habit again.

As to exercise: it's been so cold here that I haven't walked since last Tuesday. So this is the 8th day without walking. Since I began my 50 minutes a day back in June 2013, I've done well in my resolution to walk at least five days a week. But this cold is a wet one that gets in the bones and the wind chill has just kept me inside.

So I'm looking forward to next week when, hopefully, the wind will die down and the temperatures will rise.

I agree with you about the movies. I haven't seen any of the ones that everyone talks about but I hope that I'll get them from the library in the months ahead.

Take care and thank you for all the energy you send us through your posting words and wishes. I don't know how it happened but am grateful for it ;-) You will be visiting your sister soon and I'm sure you will have a wonderful visit. I'm looking forward to seeing the same movie with Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts when I get a chance so it is good to see you've mentioned it. We saw it last weekend. I'd been waiting for it eagerly. I was disappointed. Glad to hear what you said about 12 Years a Slave. You do so much exercise that you hardly need more, but yoga and/or pilates might help stretch your spine a bit. I'm just starting to get back into it because the twisting is good for me. With cold fog hanging in here in the lowlands again this morning, I'll be getting going on the stationary bike in a few minutes. then the kids arrive and football begins, with Broncos and Patriots first. I wonder if Isaac will wear his Bronco shirt for that one. We'll be rooting for them along with the Colorado family.
I am getting shorter too, no longer the 5'6" I used to be. I blame gravity. Posture is important too, of course, and I have really worked on mine this year, especially when doing my exercise walking.
Tell us what you think of Osage County. We hope to get to see it too. I think next up for us is 12 Years a Slave.Linda Reederhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07665601809156707572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-197597102880101691.post-47512278258867401212014-01-19T07:58:01.175-08:002014-01-19T07:58:01.175-08:00I'll be interested to hear how you liked Augus...I'll be interested to hear how you liked August" Osage County. It's on my list of movies I want to see. Today I plan to see 12 Years a Slave. You're right. There are quite a few good movies out right now. It's Sundance time here in Utah and there are several movies playing in Ogden I'd like to see, but at $15 each I don't how many I'll make it to.
